The Avatar State, The Cave of Two Lovers, and the Mines of Moria but with Badger-Moles

We've made it to Season 2 of Avatar: The Last Airbender! And let us be the first (or some other larger number) to tell you that it starts off very strong! First we're introduced to an exciting (albeit over-the-top) villain and a sneaky good (under-the-bottom?) not-quite villain. THEN we meet some singing hippies/musical nomads who march the crew right into the Mines of Moria, but with badger moles and original earthbenders as opposed to orcs and balrogs.
