The Awe-inspiring and Personal Way A North Georgia Town Commemorates Memorial Day

from Scott Slade's Georgia

This week, Scott's speaking with City of Duluth Public Works Director Audrey Turner about the hundreds of roadside markers and flags the town erects the week before and after Memorial Day each year. And Duluth residents Kathy Marelle, Chris McGregor and Steve Lynn talk about the servicemembers they are honoring this year. Duluth has been doing this since 1989, and it never fails to inspire all who see it. We will dig deeper into the story in our special Memorial Day broadcast Monday morning May 26. And by the way, if you miss the markers this year, they will be out again the week before and after Veterans Day in November
