The B-Fox and B-Frank Show S6 E25

from The B-Fox and B-Frank Show · host Podcasts – Let Me B-Frank

It was a fun week in college basketball and as always, the guys like to start on the positive side and there were a lot of positives this week. For the first time in school history, Auburn is the #1 ranked team in the country. They earned that ranking after an impressive win over Kentucky over the weekend. Kansas had a great week as well, overcoming a 16-point halftime deficit to beat Kansas State in Manhattan and then knocking off Texas Tech in double OT in one of the best games of the season to date. Florida State is back on track with 6 straight wins, Michigan State knocked off Wisconsin in Madison, Marquette is red-hot with 6 straight wins and has gotten itself into the Top 25. Elsewhere, Missouri State, really Isiaih Mosley, has been on a tear and they capped that off with a win over Loyola-Chicago. TCU is quietly having a very nice season, Davidson is in the Top 25, Tennessee finally picked up a key win over LSU, and Indiana knocked off rival Purdue as B-Fox had some time to speak about his Alma Mater and more directly, Rob Phinisee and his career game.  For all the good, there is always bad in College Basketball and while there wasn't as much to talk about as there was on the good side, there certainly were some headlines. None bigger than Penny Hardaway and his outburst following a loss and his team continuing to struggle despite an immensely talented roster. Louisville and Chris Mack are headed towards divorce as the team has plainly quit on their coach. Duke, for all the talent they have and how bad the ACC is, are not sitting atop the league, it is simply inexcusable. rutger had a real chance to turn their season around and built toward the NCAA Tournament, and then they lost to 7-man Minnesota on the road. Iowa State is starting to regress to the mean after their loss to TCU, the offense is a problem for the Cyclones. Arizona State is simply not the team we thought they'd be and questions are being asked about Bobby Hurley's future. Lastly, Illinois, for as talented and as well as they have played, laid an absolute egg against a sub-par Maryland team.
