It's late autumn 2022. I'm going through old hard drives from a storage unit auction in Pender County, North Carolina. Most are wiped clean. One is not. Inside, a single folder labeled 'Return to Sender' contains hundreds of letters—typed, printed, and never mailed. Each one is addressed to someone still alive.
