The BACON of Disappointment

from BACON BITS with Master Happiness · host Master Happiness

This time of year is filled with hopes and dreams, but it can also be filled with great disappointment. Disappointment is when expectation and reality meet in an unfavorable way. It starts by hoping, dreaming, and then believing that you deserve something. You start to contemplate receiving what you desire and are slapped in the face with the reality of not getting what you want. The resulting surprise can manifest into deep sadness or even anger. It hurts! The reasons it hurts is because our body doesn’t have a self-defense system against this pain. When we get hurt physically, our body produces endorphins to help us through it. When we are hurt psychologically, we are alone. Expectation and anticipation are feelings that we should enjoy. But when things don’t go our way, we need to understand those feelings; validate them and work on turning them around when the time is right. How can we use BACON to handle disappointment? B - Be Nice to yourself and others. A - Allow yourself to be aware of how you feel. C - Concentrate on Humility and Gratefulness. O - Opting for Optimism and Understanding. N - Never stop dreaming, hoping, wanting. You can’t always get what you want. But if you try some time, you just might find, you get what you need. – Rolling Stones Learn more at: www.MasterHappiness.com/live Check out: www.WhatsYourBacon.com #SalesCoach #EmployeeRetention #Keynote #Career #Relationships #MasterHappiness #Jalove #Bacon #WRLR #BaconBits #MartyJalove #WhatsYourBACON
