She peered behind her big, colorful toy box. [muttering] "Hmm... not here!" she mumbled. Her brow furrowed just a little. Where could they be?[short pause]Chapter 2: Derisn's Decorating DisasterLina skipped to Derisn's house. Derisn, with her long light hair and brown eyes, was wearing her Minnie Mouse t-shirt and a jean skirt. She was very busy! Sparkly glitter was everywhere! On her hands, on the table, even on her nose. [exhales sharply] "Wooosh!" she blew a puff of glitter. [excited] "Lina!" she chirped happily. Lina asked, [curious] "Derisn, have you seen my sparkly shoes?" Derisn giggled. [giggles] "I made new sparkly art!" She pointed to a picture of a big, shiny star. It was very sparkly. But no shoes.[short pause]Chapter 3: Talya's Topsy-Turvy TrunkLina and Derisn went to see Talya. Talya, with her brown hair and brown eyes, was wearing her favorite black overalls. She was looking in a big, old toy trunk. [surprised] "Boing!" a teddy bear popped out. [chuckles] "Zoom!" a toy car rolled away. Talya loved to explore! [sad] "My sparkly shoes are gone!" Lina explained. Talya looked up, eyes wide. [thoughtful] "Hmm," she thought. "Let's look in my dance bag!" She pulled out a pink ribbon, then a small plastic crown. And then... [excited] "Ta-da!" out came Lina's sparkly shoes![short pause]Chapter 4: Sparkly Dance Party!Talya remembered! [sheepish] "Oops!" she said. "We played ballerina yesterday, and I helped put them away in my bag by mistake!" Lina smiled. [happy] "That's okay!" she said. [excited] "Now we can dance!" [cheering] "Hooray!" cheered Derisn. The three friends put on their ballerina clothes. Lina slipped into her sparkly shoes. Derisn twirled. Talya leaped. They spun and giggled, making tiny, graceful steps. They danced and danced, happy to be together and having fun.
