Thanks for joining us on First State Kopites - it’s episode 2 of our 4th season. I’m Paul and I am joined by Justin, Daz and Haitham. In part 1 we talk about expectations about how we will line up for 2022-23 season. It’s less than 4 weeks to the season opener at Fulham. We’ll talk a lot about our expectations for the season in the next few weeks, we wanted to start with an actual listener question. How do you think we will line up? Gomez new contract - changes for the defense? The midfield - Chamberlain and Keita roles Attack - Núñez, Carvalho, Luis Diaz, Firmino We’ll do more on expectations for the season as we get closer. Part 2: Pre-season games - Man Utd and Palace coming up, then off to Austria Previous Asian tours… Sterling not willing to travel in 2015, monsoons in Hong Kong (and Coutinho fallout) in 2017. July 21st and 27th friendlies against the Red Bulls 3 weeks to the Community Shield First month is now set - early games and Monday afternoon? Part 3 a round up of what’s happening elsewhere Incomings/outgoings elsewhere - what have you been impressed by and what looks less than impressive: Surprise, surprise, Barcelona seem central to so much of what’s going on. Women’s Euros - if you’ve watched what are your highlights? Holland - Sweden? Performance of France, Spain, Germany? Chris Kavanagh involved in the most doubtful refereeing of the tournament - shock horror. Why are male English referees even involved? Liverpool Women - some new contracts, Emma Koivisto - Finnish defender - joins.
