The Bat-Phone Podcast Ep. 92: The Grading Special

In this episode we break down all of the aspects that go in to gradings in the art of Grappling and Jiu Jitsu from the perspective of the coaches as well as the students. In the lead up to the end of year 2022 Grading at The MatLab Grappling Academy, I decided to chronicle the entire experience, gain insights through interviews on the day as well as share my own personal views on what goes in to the Decision making process. Ever wondered what your coach is thinking? How they choose who to grade? Curriculum vs Syllabus? Hobbyist vs Competitor? Gi vs No Gi? Sandbagging? Knowledge vs Application? Intent vs Outcomes?
