The Battle Between Jacob and Esau Pt 3 ~ Battle in the Melchizedek Government of God

The Melchizedek Priesthood rules in the government of God. It includes the roles of king, priest and firstborn. Esau was originally in line to become the next Melchizedek priest. However, because he did not value this role, he sold this birthright and role to Jacob. Since then Esau has been trying to take this position back by force. Esau was in position to be the 12th Melchizedek priest of the Kingdom of the God of Israel from the creation of the world. Esau sold his birthright (Melchizedek office in the Kingdom of the God of Israel) to Jacob. However, because he did not value this role, he sold this birthright and role to Jacob. Since then Esau has been trying to take this position back by force. Esau is described as having a ‘hairy garment’ which indicates a position of authority.Esau having a hairy garment indicates his willingness to use his position of power to deceive others. We can see that there is a spiritual battle in the government of God between Jacob and Esau. They are in a spiritual battle regarding this 12th position of the Melchizedek priesthood. This 12th position would complete the government of the kingdom of God as 12 is the biblical number for the government of God.
