"The Battle in Will and Way"

God has a will and a way for our lives. Continuing on the theme of spiritual warfare from last week (Ephesians 6:10-17), Chris asserts if there is a will and a way for our life, there are forces waring for it. As CS Lewis put it in Mere Christianity, "Enemy-occupied territory---that is what this world is. Christianity is the story of how the rightful king has landed, you might say landed in disguise, and is calling us to take part in a great campaign of sabotage." Yet, as in the parable of the sower, while God may deliver the word and a revelation of His will for us, whether or not it gains traction in our lives is often threatened by the influence of worldly principles and priorities. Fortunately, we are not without aid – God has gifted us with weapons for this battle that hold the power to break down strongholds (2 Corinthians 2-10, Ephesians 6:10-17). Equally as important, he has gifted us with community so that we can encourage and fight on each other's behalf to preserve the will and the way God has instilled in us.
