The BeAttitudes Part 3: Be Merciful Bill Corley Original Air Date: 2024.03.10 Many of us have heard the term, but we may not know what they are. “Beatitude” comes from the Latin “beatus” meaning blessed and “Blessed” literally means happy. What makes you happy? What does the world say will promise happiness? If you have children, what do you tell them will bring happiness? In the Beatitudes, found in the Gospel of Matthew where he documents Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount, you will soon discover that what Jesus teaches will bring happiness is completely opposite of the world! How does this work? It is only through Jesus we can ever hope to find true, everlasting happiness... even when life is hard. You are invited to join us on February 17, 2024 as we start this series with an “Ask It” message. If you have never experienced the fun of Ask It, you’re in for a treat! You can ask any questions you may have about God, the Bible, Christianity, the future, parenting, or the world. Service Times are Saturday Evening at 5:30pm and Sunday Morning at 10:30 am. We also offer two Adult Sunday School options at 9:00am. Promiseland Kids Church is available at 5:30pm on Saturday evening for children up to 5th grade and Sunday at 10:30am for Toddler – 5th grade and Youth Sunday School for Jr. High and older.
