The Benefit of a Non-Made-Up Jesus

People often reshape Jesus to fit their politics, ambitions, or personal preferences. Colossians 1 describes Him instead as the Son who created all things, holds them together, and reconciles sinners through His death. His resurrection makes Him the firstborn from the dead and grounds a secure hope of life beyond death. Because Jesus made His people and bought them back, He owns their lives and leads them towards maturity through holy obedience, humble patience, and active love.
