It is hard to put into words how I feel this season. I have learned that grief does not wait for you to get it together. Grief uses any opportunity available to remind you what you are missing at all family gatherings. I had a family event recently that allowed me to visit my nephew. He shared the best inspiration of all. He shared a letter—his dad, my brother had written to him before he was born. This letter was amazing. There was no mystery with what my brother thought, felt, or believed for his son. I was inspired to keep journals for my kids.
