It was being tossed around as the next "MAJOR" competition back in the day. To se themselves apart, they were giving a big cash prize for the overall winner (winner take all). I think it is safe to say that this was quickly becoming a contest that pitmasters were hoping to get the invite to and, of course, win.  I think the first one paid $50k. I LOVED this set up!!!!!  This particular KI was the 2nd (and final) event...this is not the one where Johnny Trigg accosted me in public!
