Episode 239 Taking you back to 8/6/2013 – This week featuring a discussion with old friends of the show, Michael McDearman and South Carolina BBQ legend, Jack Waiboer. Back in 2013, Mc D and Jack were on an episode of BBQ Pitmasters and this segment finds us talking about their time on the show. If I am not mistaken, this was also a rare occasion where I had a real live in-studio guest! MC D was on the Sam’s Club tour at the time doing the Beef demo…and there was a local Sam’s event in Canton, OH…so I actually went out there and met up with Michael and that’s also where I met a number of other teams in person. The highlight for me was getting to hang out with the late/great Robert Magee from Munchin’ Hogs at The Hilton (Q39 Founder) for a few hours and sampling the turn ins…that was the first time I ever had real money muscle medallions…and they were incredible!!
