Everyone wants to be happy, fulfilled, and blessed, but few people agree on where those things are found. Our world tells us that blessing comes through success, achievement, influence, wealth, or self-sufficiency. The doorway into the Christian life is not strength but surrender, not self-confidence but spiritual poverty, not presenting God with our accomplishments but coming to Him with empty hands ready to receive His grace.
