The Betrayal of a Best Friend

Jonathan Broyhill, the trusted best man of Nation and Jamie Hahn, embezzled over $46,500 from Jamie’s political consulting firm and systematically faked terminal illnesses, including multiple sclerosis and pancreatic cancer, to hide his financial fraud. On April 22, 2013, Broyhill attacked the couple with a knife in their home when his deception was nearly exposed, resulting in Jamie’s death from multiple stab wounds two days later. In 2015, Broyhill was convicted of first-degree murder and attempted murder, receiving a life sentence for the brutal betrayal of his closest friends.
