The only way to come to a complete understanding of truth is to agree that there actually is an understanding of truth that is complete. Another critical factor in understanding truth is to acknowledge that the origin of truth is outside of you, and that truth needs to be inside of you to have meaning and bring purpose in life. You must admit that Truth is not a feeling or an emotion, but it is an activity. Jesus said it best: ""But he who practices (accomplishes) the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God." John 3:21. Truth is not passive, it is active, and requires activity/doing to accomplish the purpose of God.
