"The Bible Says" is the Only Adequate Starting and Returning Point! (Freestyle)

from Matter of Theology · host Chris Huff and Drew Von Nieda

Welcome to another edition of MoT! The place where theology matters b/c everything, all of life is a matter of theology. MoT is a podcast production that stands for the sufficiency of Scripture seeks to show how scripture applies to everything we think, say, and do. Recently Andy Stanley, "Pastor" of Buckhead "Church"/NorthPoint Community "Church" and a whole slew of satellite campuses in the metro Atlanta area gave a talk (we cannot call it a sermon, as the gospel was never preached) where he stated the following, ""the Bible says" is not not an adequate starting or returning point for many adults." This pattern of Andy questioning and outright denying the sufficiency of Scripture has gone past the point where beloved saints in the Lord Jesus Christ should remain partnered with him in any way, shape, or form.  With the majority of the listeners to this podcast being in the U.S. and in the state of GA, coupled with the fact that Andy's reach is all over the country and around the world, Chris felt compelled to warn anyone who would listen to the dangerous teaching in word and deed that comes from Andy Stanley and others like him. Those who the Bible would classify as unprincipled, unstable men who would destort the scriptures to their own destruction (2 Peter 3:14-18).
