The Birth of a Goddess

Today on The Natural Birth Podcast we have Petra. Petra is an intuitive therapist supporting women through the phases of their lives. Before she got pregnant with her second child she felt a calling to explore and embody pregnancy, birth and beyond in a more conscious, natural and spiritual way on her path of becoming a doula and space holder for women. In todays episode we are going to talk about the birth of Petras little girl Yamayah, a name that came to her years before her daughter was conceived and is the name of a Goddess in ancient mythology. Petras home birth plans for her and her baby girl went out the window as she went passed 42 weeks gestation. She had to surrender her deep desire for a home birth and accept going to the hospital. Having a hospital birth however showed her that she only really needed herself in order to have her natural birth. An empowering realization indeed.  Curious about Petra?
