The Black Sheep Perspective w/Nicholas Chappotin (Episode 7)
from The Black Sheep Perspective · host Wesley Cantillo
An Army veteran walks us threw a series of hardships that influenced his decision to join the military in early 2000. Less than a year later, 9/11 occurred and his path into counter intelligence took an unexpected turn, which then led him deep into the Afghanistan mountains, where he became the "Interrogator" of an elite force of soldiers. Throughout the span of several years and THREE deployments, Nick dealt with many losses of close friends, brothers in arm, and even a wife. After returning from his final duty, PTSD became his biggest battle to date. Determined to overcome & make things right, especially in honor of his fallen comrades, he finally opened up to receiving help from the VA and turned to Jiu Jitsu as one of his best medicines.
