The Blessed Man

The very first word of the Bible's songbook is a promise of the one thing every human being is chasing: the blessed, truly happy life. But Psalm 1 paints its portrait of that life with such perfection that honest readers end up crushed rather than comforted, because none of us matches the man it describes. This sermon walks from the portrait to the flourishing tree to the two final ends, and stops to ask the question on which everything depends: who is this blessed man? The answer turns a crushing psalm into glorious good news, and it lands in a single sentence worth carrying for the rest of your life: Christ is the Blessed Man, and I am blessed in Him.
