This weekend at Lakeside was Vision Sunday! As we step into The Year of Strengthening, Pastor Jason delivered a powerful message titled “The Blessing of Resistance.” While everyone desires strength, few embrace the resistance required to achieve it.  Resistance is not meant to break you but to build you. It is often a sign that you are on the right path, preparing you for God’s purpose. As Romans 8:28 reminds us, God works all things for good for those who love Him. Instead of fearing challenges, we are called to rejoice in resistance, knowing that perseverance produces maturity and strength (James 1:2-4). God loves you too much to leave you weak — This year, we embrace resistance as a blessing, trusting that it is growing us, not grounding us.
