The Blind Seer

from Walk With Me #Deararn. · host anne ajadi

The Blind Seer The Blind seer, the leprous general, the lame prince, the caged royal are all familiar Bible folk. Ponder a bit and consider, is not our world full of such epistles? Dare we point fingers when we are equally guilty? Pray, tell me the last time you occupied your office? Sister intercessor, do you remember the last time you bore someone else's burden. Did I catch you arguing that you had a heavy load of yours to contend with? Pastor Priest, check the fire, did you even notice that it had stopped burning? Elder counsellor, why abuse the ones in your care? “The ‘gods’ know nothing, they understand nothing. They walk about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken. (Psalms 82:5) How did we get here, what went wrong, when did we make the detour, who beguiled us? See what we call home now, see how far out from the plan we have strayed? Home is where we generate the power, how come it has become the clowns’ haven? Shall we return? Shall we rebuild? Some saw the former house in its glory, can we ask them what it was like? Or, should we go back to the Holy Spirit who knows what the Father is thinking right now? Friend, should we return to the days of power when the Holy Spirit determined how we conducted our meetings, not some drunken comedian cracking lewd jokes on sacred altars. You ask why narrate the problem, proffer solution, and I say: If you return to the Almighty, you will be restored: If you remove wickedness far from your tent and assign your nuggets to the dust, your gold of Ophir to the rocks in the ravines, then the Almighty will be your gold, the choicest silver for you. Surely then you will find delight in the Almighty and will lift up your face to God. You will pray to him, and he will hear you, and you will fulfill your vows. What you decide on will be done, and light will shine on your ways. (Job 22:23-28) Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up. (James 4:8-10) Prophet Seer, how nice it will be if we admit that we need help rather than all the safe prophecies that we are prone to giving today. Let us face it; we are not God. If He has not spoken, we should not presume to speak. The spotlight in our lives should always be on God, not us. Did He not say when we lift Him up, He will draw men? Selah!
