The cars are on the track for the first time in 2017, and as expected it was a mixed bag with some teams meeting and exceeding expectations - and others ending up much worse than planned. But before we talk about testing, we have news that F1 will continue to head to Sochi and Montreal until 2025 for Sochi and 2029 for Montreal.   Pat Symmonds is joining Sky Sports F1 commentating team. Liberty Media lifted the restrictions around filming and social media during testing last week - and may do so again for week 2 of testing. Toro Rosso had the first broken car of 2017, followed closely by McLaren. Things don't look particularly good at McLaren so far. And yes, the cars are faster than in previous years.
