The Blood

from The Potter's Word Hosted by Potter's Family Chapel

The crucifixion of Jesus Christ is the greatest demonstration of God’s love for humanity. On the cross, Jesus bore the weight of our sins, shame, pain, and punishment. He who knew no sin became sin for us so that we might be made righteous before God. The crucifixion reminds us that sin has a cost, but Christ paid that price in full. Every nail that pierced His hands and feet speaks of sacrifice. Every drop of blood that flowed from His body speaks of mercy, redemption, and forgiveness. Jesus did not go to the cross because He was powerless; He went because of His great love for us. He chose the cross so that we could receive life, hope, and salvation.
