from Biblical Nutrition Academy Podcast

The Blood Test That Saved My Health: The Markers You Should Be Tracking   Most people wait for symptoms before they take their health seriously. But what if you could see warning signs years before a diagnosis? In this episode, Annette shares the blood markers that changed her life and how ordering simple lab work helped her and her husband catch inflammation and metabolic stress early.   Why You Should Not Wait for Symptoms   Years ago, routine blood work revealed high inflammation, low energy markers, and signs of stress even though they did not feel severely sick. That wake up call shifted everything. Instead of waiting for fear or crisis, they began tracking key numbers regularly and making changes before problems escalated.   The Most Important Markers to Know   Annette walks through foundational labs that give early insight into inflammation, metabolic health, and nutrient status. These include C reactive protein for inflammation, vitamin D levels, fasting glucose, A1c, triglycerides, HDL, fasting insulin, ferritin, B12, magnesium, and omega 3 index. She also explains why the triglyceride to HDL ratio can reveal hidden metabolic stress long before other markers become abnormal.   Understanding Cancer Markers Without Fear   Cancer antigen markers such as CA 125, CA 19 9, CEA, AFP, and CA 15 3 are often misunderstood. These tests do not diagnose cancer on their own, but they can serve as early signals that something in the body needs attention. Annette shares her personal experience monitoring CA 125 after a lung procedure and how lifestyle changes directly influenced her results.   Numbers Are Information, Not Destiny   Lab results are not a sentence. They are information. When you know your numbers, you can adjust your nutrition, supplements, stress levels, and exercise habits early. Tracking patterns over time gives clarity and peace instead of fear.   Stewardship Over Crisis   This episode is a call to proactive health. Ordering your own blood work, reviewing trends, and working with a practitioner if needed empowers you to make changes before your body begins to shout. Knowing your numbers is an act of stewardship, not fear.   ==   Did this episode bless you?   We are grateful for the support of our ministry partners, whose kindness and generosity make teachings like this possible.
