The Blood Trail
from The Sportsman's Light · host Patrick
Every ethical hunter takes blood trailing seriously. You follow the sign — drop by drop, through thickets and creek bottoms, on hands and knees if needed — because the trail leads to recovery, and recovery is the whole point. A faint trail followed faithfully ends the story the right way.Scripture tells a blood-trail story of its own, running from Genesis to Revelation: the blood of Jesus, shed once, sufficient forever. Follow that trail through the pages and it leads to one place — full recovery. Purification from all sin. Not most sin. All of it.Many men live as though their failures put them beyond recovery, as though the trail went cold somewhere back in their past. It didn't. The blood of Jesus purifies completely, and the trail always leads home. Walk in the light, stay on the trail, and trust the blood to do what you never could.Prayer:Jesus, thank You for Your blood — the trail that leads me home no matter how far I've wandered or how badly I've failed.I walk in Your light today. Purify me from all sin, and silence the voice that says I'm beyond recovery. Amen.Challenge:Is there a failure in your past you still treat as unforgivable — something the enemy uses against you? Today, write it down, write 1 John 1:7 over it, and destroy the paper. The blood already covered it.
