The Blue Water Navy (BWN) Vietnam Veterans Act

from The Voice of Texas Veterans · host Texas Veterans Commission

The Blue Water Navy (BWN) Vietnam Veterans Act of 2019  extended the presumption of herbicide exposure, such as Agent Orange, to Veterans who served in the offshore waters of the Republic of Vietnam between Jan. 9, 1962 and May 7, 1975. If that exposure led to any of the 14 VA approved service connected illnesses, these veterans are entitled to benefits.  The VA has already paid out hundreds of millions of dollars to some of those veterans. We talked with the VA about this benefit and what eligible veterans should do to claim their share. Learn about the VA changes here.  Make a Claims Appointment here.
