Welcome back to Reading with Ben! Let's continue the lecture on the book of 1 Chronicles. This is episode #07 Chapters 13 & 14. 1 Chronicles Chapter 13, King David plans to bring back the Ark of the Covenant. To this end, he consults with all of his officers, who command hundreds of thousands of troops. Then he says to all of Israel that he will bring the Ark back if they wish and if the Lord agreed to it. 1 Chronicles Chapter 14, Hiram, who is the King of Tyre, sends messengers to King David. He also sends logs made of cedar, carpenters, and stonemasons so that David can have a palace built. David understands that the Lord had made him the King of Israel and that his kingdom was exalted. While he lived in Jerusalem, David married more wives and begat many children.
