Welcome back to Reading with Ben! Let's continue the lecture on the book of 2 Samuel. This is episode #02 chapters 03 & 04. 2 Samuel Chapter 3, the war between the houses of David and Saul has gone on for a long time, though David’s side grows stronger while Saul’s side grows weaker. The war lasts so long that David, who lives with his people in Hebron, has six sons with six different wives. 2 Samuel Chapter 3, When Ish-Bosheth, Saul’s son, found out that Abner had passed away in Hebron, he lost his bravery and all of Israel soon became very concerned. Ish-Bosheth had two men (Rekab and Baanah) who were the commanders of his raiding bands. These men were Rimmon’s sons who belonged to the Benjamin-Beeroth tribe.
