The Book of Ephesians: "Walk Circumspectly" - Ephesians 6:18-24
from Draw Me Close: Podcast - A Ministry of Whitestone Christian Fellowship, with Pastor Bob Lawrenz · host DRAW ME CLOSE - Whitestone CF
As we bring Ephesians 6 to its conclusion, Paul is ending his letter to the Ephesian church. What he wanted them to know, as he wants us to know, that we have all the resources, all the power, and all the principles to live the faithful Christian life. However, having everything we need does not mean it will be easy. We are in a spiritual battle, and there is an adversary who is there to come after us with every cunning, devious, deceptive scheme in order to thwart God's work in our lives, and our effectiveness in this world. He wants to trip us up and quit the race. Defining the Christian life is best summed up as warfare, because that is what we are in. That’s what Paul uses to speak of it in this passage. While we studied the armor of God last week, there is one final element, and it is contained in verse 18. “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit…” The final element of the believer’s weapon is prayer.
