The Book of Ruth: Love's Resolve

At first, the book of Ruth looks like a very short story of the domestic affairs of a certain family during the days of the Judges. As such, it is an excellent drama. It is the story of affliction and comfort, humility and transformation, loss and redemption. It doesn’t take long to see the hand of God’s providence. In time, it becomes clear that we are witnessing a story of our own redemption provided by God’s amazing love.
