Today I have a double whammy for you: a book and film. - And the book and the film are about a book thief. - In her return to the podcast, Yessica from @ourconversationclub talks to us about this fictional book and the film that came from it. - The book is based in Germany, in a fictional town, during World War 2. - Narrated by Death, the story follows young Liesel Meminger, who lives with her foster parents in Nazi Germany. - After the death of her brother, Liesel decides to steal her first book, hence becoming the Book Thief. Hans, her foster father develops a close relationship with Liesel and helps her to read. - So what can I get out of the book and film?
