The Bottom Line that Really Matters 10: Hope Around the Corner - John 5:19-29

What is it that makes people marvel? In the Marvel movies we see amazing creatures doing all kinds of superhuman things that capture the imagination. What is it that makes you marvel? Like your jaw just drops, and it stops you right there, and fills you with with a sense of amazement? Jesus also spoke of what makes people marvel. I want to do that here today. This is the closure of our summer sermon series where we're talking about the bottom line that matters. We've been walking through our statement of faith. These are the things that we go to the wall for, that we won't be shifted from. Today we are talking about what we believe about things to come. In this Jesus spoke of things that make people wonder. He says, "Don't marvel at this or that". But he also tells us what we should marvel at. I want to read from John 5, the words of Jesus, and take time to talk about, not only what makes people marvel, but what makes people have hope that is just around the corner.
