The Boy Who Colored My World

from RainSteams Sleep Stories

For as long as I could remember, my life had been a charcoal sketch. Precise, carefully shaded, technically flawless, but entirely devoid of color. As a second-year student at the Seoul Institute of the Arts, I was known for my hyper-realistic graphite portraits. I loved the safety of black and white. You couldn't choose the wrong hue; you only had to worry about light and shadow. Color was unpredictable. Color was messy. Color meant making mistakes that couldn't easily be erased.
