We are fast becoming more and more desensitized to liars. The story playing out in real time as sensationalist influencers on many fronts put their elbows out for clicks, headlines and power for their egos at all costs. Some evolutionary biologists suggest our tendency to be attracted to negativity is an innate response and a hangover from when we had no choice but to be ears up and aware of life threatening situations. We apparently still have that unconsciously but in large part don't need to feed that defensive beast anymore in a free society. Still we react and that tends to manifest as anger. I know this all falls under mindfulness in general now but I think it's nice to try and understand why we act and react in certain ways to what are a lot of the time trivial or uncontrollable situations. So this song attempts to suggest if we become aware of that evolutionary innate tendency maybe we can better force ourselves to not attach or at least be negatively effected by energies and ideas that are detrimental to our happiness and compassion to share. So instead of crying wolf, we cry good and turn the power from the story into positive action. Give it few thousand years and we'll stop being dickheads 😆🕯️
