The Brazen Altar: Christ Our Payment

We often say God instructed Moses to construct the Tabernacle so man could get to God. Yet, the more I study the 50 chapters of its pattern, I realize God started with Himself. The Ark of the Covenant, the Mercy Seat, the Table of Showbread, the Golden Menorah, the Veil... Finally, we come to the brazen Altar - the place where we usually begin. Now that we know more about how holy and wonderful God is, we can begin to comprehend how unholy and undone we are. You see, we must "believe that God is" before we can receive His perfect sacrifice at the Brazen Altar.
