The Bread of Life

You may have heard that Jesus called "The Bread of Life." This is actually a title he gave to himself. Yet he went even further than the title. He said that if we want eternal life we have to eat his flesh and drink his blood. Which if we are honest, that is a strange statement. What did he mean by it?
