The Brooch of Moth Creek Road

from Heirloom — Fexingo Horror · host Fexingo

Some things you inherit aren't meant to be kept. In the summer of 2009, Luna's cousin Elara bought a vintage brooch at a flea market near Moth Creek Road, a dead-end lane outside the town of Innis, South Carolina. The brooch was beautiful: a cluster of dark garnets set in tarnished silver, shaped like a flower with too many petals. Elara wore it once. Then came the moth. Then the smell. Then the scratching at the inside of her closet door. Luna visited her that August, the air thick with cicadas and the heat pressing down like a hand. What she found in Elara's house wasn't a haunting — it was a hunger. A thing that had been waiting in the brooch for decades, waking up when Elara pinned it to her collar. Luna stayed three nights. By the third, she understood that some objects don't just carry memories. They carry intent. #TheBroochOfMothCreekRoad #InnisSouthCarolina #MothCreekRoad #AntiqueBrooch #GarnetFlower #CousinElara #Summer2009 #FleaMarketHorror #HeirloomShow #FexingoHorror #HorrorPodcast #LunaReading #AtmosphericHorror #ImbuedObjects #HungerNotHaunting #SouthernGothic #CicadaSummer #ClosetDoorScratching #HeirloomHorror #FamilySecrets Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
