Digging into his parents Vinyl collection prompted them to buy him his own record player, from then he was hooked on collecting vinyl, at 12 he secured his 1st gig playing records at a local youth club dance, a few years after that he discovered ”House Music” and introduced the “youth Club” to the 4/4 rhythm, in 1989 @ 15 yrs of age he went to his 1st “rave” and that was all she wrote,A house head forever! thru-out the 90's Ed had regular gigs in pubs & clubs across the city and as his knowledge grew his Vinyl collection grew , fast becoming a regular dancer at the citys only underground house night “Sweat” @ Sir Henrys , his education was helped along by “sweat” dj's Greg & Shane known today as “Fishgodeep” In The late 90's early Noughties Ed was involved with some pirate radio stations across the city,and had weekly shows. In 2000 Ed decided to take a step back from the scene and concentrate on his upcoming wedding and housebuild , in 2008 he picked up the headphones again and secured a monthly show on ssradio uk .& the “Deepsouthsounds” radio show was born, for three years it aired in 2012 ed teamed up with an old dear friend Fergal Moran to bring Deepsouthsounds.com to life, a place to share mixes and just good music, Securing a weekly slot on the premier deep house station “Deepvibes Radio” the duo then became a collective with 4 djs offering up different styles each week, and still do nearly 5 years on, the Deepsouthsounds crew have ran club nights & warehouse parties over the past 4 years and enjoy bringing their own blend of soulful underground housemusic to the table.
