@further-reductions Shawn O’Sullivan and Katie Rose bring their collaborative project to our NYC studio, featuring a back-to-back DJ set and interview. Shawn and Katie O’Sullivan’s Further Reductions project is as difficult to pin down as it is easy to enjoy. Of a piece with the noise-imbued techno Shawn has recorded for such labels as the Corner, Avian and L.I.E.S., the duo operates from a similar deep knowledge of both dance music and experimental electronic contingents, while allowing space for a subtle brush with songwriting. As a live act, they’ve played at just about every party worth mentioning in New York, including appearances at the Bunker. That makes them long overdue to join Bryan Kasenic for a broadcast from our studio. They’ll remedy that on the show this week, stopping in for a back-to-back DJ set and interview.
