The Bunker on Red Bull Radio: Israel Vines 10/17/2017
from thebunkerny · host thebunkerny
@israel-vines A Detroit-rooted artist now based in LA, the Borrowed Languages mastermind and Eye Teeth affiliate plays live from our studio. Israel Vines calls Los Angeles home these days, but his musical mind was formed in America’s twin cities of dance music: Detroit, where he learned the art of raving, and Chicago, where he spent time behind the counter at the famed dance record shop Gramaphone. In LA he’s kept the fire of Midwestern techno, running the short-lived but brightly burning Borrowed Language label and, more recently, releasing a string of records via Interdimensional Transmissions’ Eye Teeth imprint. Sitting down with the Bunker’s Bryan Kasenic live from our studio at the Red Bull Music Academy Festival in Los Angeles, Vines will shed light on his deeply rooted sound and play a hefty, heady set.
