Johannes Auvinen, AKA Tin Man, and one-half of the Bunker NY-signed duo Romans, is known in the club world for his Roland-heavy live sets. But anyone who’s ever toured the world with cases of hardware will know they have a way of getting held up in customs, sent back to where they came from or otherwise lost in the shuffle. Auvinen has found that having a flash drive full of tracks – and knowing how to mix them – comes in handy for those times when the checked-baggage gods conspire. The result is that he’s become a cracking DJ who can churn out expansively acidic sets of a piece with the 303 acrobatics he’s known for in the live realm.
