The Butcher of Gharbia: How a Secret Life of Trauma and Dismemberment Led to Egypt's Calculated Serial Killer

from Crime Night · host Crime Night

Abd Rabbo, known as the "Ghārbiya Ripper," was responsible for a series of murders in Egypt, culminating with his final victim, Fāṭima, nicknamed "Baṭṭa," whose dismembered body was discovered by locals. Investigations into her disappearance and her social circle led police to Abd Rabbo, who confessed to her murder as well as four previous killings. His troubled childhood included the death of his father and the discovery of his mother’s infidelity with his uncle. Abd Rabbo committed his first murder at age six and later killed his pregnant wife. Despite his disturbing history, he was deemed mentally competent and fully aware of his actions, leading the court to pursue the death penalty. You can listen and download our episodes for free on more than 10 different platforms:https://linktr.ee/crimenight1Produced by:https://www.podcaistudio.com/
