We cultivate Counter-Racist Media Literacy by scrutinizing journalists' word choices and using logic to deconstruct what is reported as "news." We’ll use these sessions to hone our use of terms as tools to reveal truth, neutralize Racists/White people. #ANTIBLACKNESS The US House of Representatives passed "historic" legislation to protect "same sex" and "interracial" marriage. Soon-to-be-out House Speaker Nancy Pelosi declared the legislation “will ensure that “the federal government will never again stand in the way of marrying the person you love.” #GagMe Coincidentally, Brittney Griner was released from greater confinement in a Russian gulag. Her non-white attempted wife gave interviews of gratitude that her same sex partner is returning to the US. In Texas, the trial for the police killing of Atatiana Jefferson commenced. Jefferson, a 28-year-old black female, was shot and killed in her residence by Aaron Dean, a 38-year-old White Man, in 2019. Jefferson's 8-year-old nephew, Zion, watched his auntie die.
