The C. O. W. S. Neutralizing Workplace Racism 06/23/23

The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly summit on Neutralizing Workplace Racism. We made it through the Juneteenth celebration unscathed (hopefully). Given what we heard from Ottumwa educator Robert Bender, all that celebrating was for nothing. Mr. Bender reported that White children called him a nigger and left him Racist Jokes. Bender alleges the students were not disciplined and he was forsaken by his White colleagues. Since we've a number of educators in The C.O.W.S.'s listening audience, we'll remind folks to have a code for responding to the Racist antics of White kids. We also make time to discuss strategies for responding to inquires about the origins of your so-called non-white sounding name.
