The C.O.W.S. Neutralizing Workplace Racism 07/26/24. A black female officer on the Fresno Police Department alleges she was subject to sexual and Racist abuse in the workplace. She said White officers made lewd sexual remarks about her body and charged that the black females were hired as a form of Racial Showcasing to make the department appear to be not racist and "progressive." 23-year-old Amya Brooks charges that White officers told her black females had "bad reputations" and were "untrustworthy." Ms. Brooks' lawsuit is pending, but Gus T. hopes she took extensive notes to document every tacky remark and instance of mistreatment. It should be emphasized that Brooks worked with White law enforcement officers.
