The C.O.W.S. w/ Dr. Paul Thomas LIVE from Norway Too Black To Be Here #BenjaminHermansen

from The C.O.W.S.

The Context of White Supremacy welcomes Paul Thomas live from Norway. Classified as not White, Thomas is a professor of pedagogy specializing in critical pedagogy and multicultural education at the University of South-Eastern Norway. He migrated to Norway from Somalia and began driving a cab before matriculating to college and becoming a university professor. We’ll discuss his latest book, Too Black to Be Here?: Exploring Racism in Norway through Four Critical Case Studies. He examines the 2011 White Terrorist attack of Anders Breivick and the 2001 Racist murder of 16-year-old Benjamin Hermansen by a gang of White youth. The text mentions many of the typical names that White people allow us to use when discussing Racism: Noel Ignatiev, Dr. Peggy McIntosh, Dr. Charles W. Mills, Dr. Joe Feagin and Ta-Nehisi Coates to name a few. Gus has found that White people promote these scholars as being "acceptable," even though they frequently assert incorrect or illogical thinking about the System of White Supremacy. Such as suggesting that non-white people are “invisible,” White Supremacy being the result of “ignorant” or “unconscious” White behavior, and/or that not all White people are Racist. Dr. Thomas provided a fascinating discussion about the importance of the current conflict over Pres. Donald J. Trump's pursuit of Greenland and how it is impacting people classified as white in Scandinavia and other regions of Europe. $TheCOWS17Years INVEST in The COWS – http://paypal.me/TheCOWS Cash App: https://cash.app/$TheCOWS CALL IN NUMBER: 720.716.7300 CODE 564943#
