Racist Suspect Allison Brinkhorst and Racist Suspect Chirona Silverstein are two of the White members of this collective of “Portland-based activists and organizers working to redistribute housing-related wealth and privilege to interrupt racialized disparities in homeownership and inequitable cycles of intergenerational wealth.” Gus has been in Washington state for eons now, which is about a three hour drive to Portland, Oregon. With a population of 635,000, the “Rose City” is nearly 74% White, with less than 6% black people dispersed throughout the town. The state of Oregon was once a Racially Restricted Region/Sundown Town, where the state constitution prohibited black residents. Deliberate White Supremacist actions - which include engineering exorbitant costs of living, mean that even now, black people struggle to live and thrive in this city.
